Shane Cahill
Shane is the Head of Performance at The Rugby Academy, where he oversees individual player development plans and ensures each athlete receives the appropriate strength & conditioning training, performance nutrition support, and technical and tactical rugby skill development. His role focuses on guiding players through a high-performance pathway, supporting their progression toward their desired rugby destinations. Shane has worked with the following clubs:
Stephen Walter
Stephen is the Head of Strength & Conditioning at The Rugby Academy. He oversees the long-term physical development of players with a clear focus on injury prevention and performance transfer. His role centers on integrating strength, power, speed, and robustness into match-day demands through structured programming and in-person coaching, delivering individualized training for each athlete.
Noel Reid
Noel is the Head of Rugby Physical Development at The Rugby Academy, where his role is to ensure that players’ physical development directly transfers to on-field rugby performance. He is responsible for bridging the gap between strength & conditioning and the technical and tactical demands of the game, ensuring that the physical qualities being developed—such as strength, power, speed, and robustness—are expressed effectively within rugby-specific skills and match situations.
